Takoma Park Police are investigating a double homicide that took the lives of two male victims Sunday morning.

The two individuals were identified as David Draa, 30, of Takoma Park and Steven Kyle Hickman, 30, of Washington, D.C.

Gunshots were reported at 1:45 a.m. Sunday on Flower Avenue, Takoma Park spokesperson Cathy Plevy said. Officers responded and saw two men lying in a driveway. They were declared dead at the scene.

“Investigators believe that the two men were friends and were coworkers at a special education school in the District of Columbia. ... There was no indication of hostility prior to the shooting. All initial information leads to the belief that this was a homicide/suicide,” Takoma Park Police said in a release identifying the two men.
