The following is a summary of incidents in the Bethesda area to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county.

1st District

Auto Theft

• Between 10 p.m. Jan. 31 and 9:15 a.m. Feb. 1 in a parking garage at 198 Halpine Road, Rockville. No further information provided.

Residential Burglary

• At 10:55 a.m. Feb. 4, 400 block of Long Trail Terrace, Rockville. Attempted forced entry, took nothing.

• At 11:22 a.m. Feb. 5, 12200 block of Wilkins Avenue, Rockville. Unknown entry, took property.

Vehicle Larceny

• Between noon and 3:46 p.m. Jan. 29, 8900 block of Copenhaver Drive, Rockville. Forced entry, took radio.

• Between midnight and 11:15 a.m. Jan. 31, Parking garage at 198 Halpine Road, Rockville. No forced entry, took property.

• Three incidents between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the parking lot of the Timpano Restaurant, 12021 Rockville Pike, Rockville. Forced entry into all three vehicles and took loose items.

• Between 11 p.m. Feb. 1 and 9 a.m. Feb. 2, 900 block of Twin Oaks Drive, Rockville. The vehicle had been left unlocked. The vehicle was searched, and a laptop and a backpack were taken.

2nd District

Commercial Burglary

• On Jan. 28 and 29 at 11140 Rockville Pike, Rockville. Forced entry, took property.

• Between 5:45 and 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at 7735 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda. Forced entry, took property.

• On Feb. 4 or 5 at 7272 Wisconsin Ave., Bethesda. Entered two office suites forcibly, took property.

Residential Burglary

• At 10:50 a.m. Jan. 29, 7500 block of River Falls Road, Rockville. Forced entry, took property.

• At 4:35 p.m. Feb. 2, 9500 block of Cable Drive, Kensington. Attempted forced entry, took nothing.

• On Feb. 4, 3800 block of Village Park Drive, Chevy Chase. No entry was gained.

• At 2 a.m. Feb. 4, 3800 block of Village Park Drive, Chevy Chase. Forced entry, took property.

• At 2:30 a.m. Feb. 43800 block of Village Park Drive, Chevy Chase. Forced entry, took property.

Theft

• At 2:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the 4300 block of Elm Street, Chevy Chase. An unknown subject removed property from the victim.

Vehicle Larceny

• Eight incidents in Bethesda. Four thefts of vehicle parts in the 5100 block of Westbard Avenue. The other four involved unforced entry and theft of loose property.

• Two incidents in the 4900 and 5200 blocks of Nicholson Lane, Rockville. Forced entry, took loose items.
