The Department of English and Modern Languages at Bowie State University on Monday presented a Read-a-Thon of “Beloved” in celebration of author Toni Morrison’s birthday and contributions to literature. Students, faculty and staff planned to read in 10-minute increments starting at about 9 a.m. in the Martin Luther King Jr. Communication Arts Center Lobby.
