Montgomery County Police have arrested 43-year-old Corey Stevenson in connection with a carjacking incident at Lakeforest Mall on Feb. 3.
According to Gaithersburg police, Stevenson approached a woman who was sitting in her vehicle at Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg. Stevenson entered the vehicle from the passenger side and demanded the car. The woman got out of the vehicle, and Stevenson drove away in it, police said. The incident was reported at 1:16 p.m. on Feb. 3.
Angela Cruz, a spokesperson for Montgomery County police, said the Stevenson was found with the stolen vehicle in Prince George’s County and arrested on Feb. 7. Cruz said Stevenson’s address has not been determined. Attorney information for Stevenson was not yet available in online court records.
Stevenson was charged with robbery and carjacking in Montgomery County, and auto theft in Prince George’s County, according to Montgomery County police spokesperson Lucille Baur.
