Chesapeake Beach
Paraphernalia found in car
At 10:10 p.m. Feb. 6, Tfc. Wiesemann stopped a vehicle on Bayside Road for traffic violations. A passenger in the vehicle, Shrnique L. Hutchins, 42, of St. Leonard was found in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was charged and served a summons for possession of paraphernalia.
Huntingtown
Theft reported
Tfc. Wiesemann responded at 6:13 p.m. Feb. 4 to the 1900 block of Ponds Wood Road for a reported theft. A victim’s handgun and its case were stolen from the residence.
Lusby
Man arrested for concealing dangerous weapon
Tfc. Esnes responded to the 8500 block of Daryl Drive at 12:18 a.m. Jan. 27 for a report of a disorderly intoxicated person. Philip H. Dew III, 38, of Lusby was outside a home and was in possession of a 10-inch fixed blade knife, which was concealed in his waistband behind his back. He was arrested and jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.
North Beach
Two arrested for burglary
At 6:54 a.m. Jan. 22, Trooper Matthews responded to the 3800 block of 7th Street for a reported burglary and trespassing. Casey P. Fleming, 20, of Chesapeake Beach and David L. Deville, 23, of Upper Marlboro were found inside the vacant house, and they did not have permission from the owner to be there. They were both arrested and jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.
Port Republic
Destruction of property reported
At 4:57 p.m. Feb. 4, Tfc. Smith responded to the 3100 block of Broomes Island Road for a reported destruction of property. A mailbox and newspaper box were destroyed. The investigation is ongoing.
Prince Frederick
Dirt bikes stolen
At 9:11 a.m. Jan. 28, Tfc. Smith responded to the 1750 block of Dares Beach Road for a reported burglary. Nine dirt bikes were missing from the victim’s shed. Footprints and tire tracks led troopers into the woods and five of the bikes were recovered. The other four were not found and the investigation is ongoing.
Drugs found in car
A vehicle was stopped by Tfc. Esnes at 8:17 a.m. Feb. 7 for traffic violations on Route 231 near Adelina Road. Jeffrey A. Brice, 28, of Mechanicsville was arrested for driving on a suspended license and, during a search, suboxone was allegedly found. Brice was charged and jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.
Four charged for marijuana possession
Nicholas S. Craig, 21, of Barstow, Brian M. Bissen, 19, of Towson, Michael R. Pillhower, 19, of Hopkinsville, Ky., and John O. Lewis III, 19, of Edgewater were arrested and charged after Tfc. West responded at 7:15 p.m. Feb. 8 to the Super 8 Motel on Commerce Lane and found them in possession of marijuana.
St. Leonard
Items stolen from store
Tfc. Wiersma is investigating a theft from FaStop where two items were taken from the store at 8:05 a.m. Feb. 5.
Gun found in vehicle
Sr. Trooper Gill stopped a vehicle at 5:07 p.m. Feb. 10 for traffic violations in the FaStop parking lot. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed a Ruger handgun. Deon L. Jones, 22, of Lusby was arrested and jailed at the Calvert County Detention Center.
Sunderland
TV stolen
Tfc. Saucerman responded at 4:26 p.m. Feb. 1 to the 2500 block of Sharon Road for a theft. The victim reported a 40-inch Sharpe Aquas television had been taken. The investigation is ongoing.
