For the seventh year, Landon School in Bethesda will host the Best of the Independent Schools Art Competition. Upper-school students, grades 10-12, from area independent schools are invited to submit one piece of work between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. March 2 at the Landow Gallery on the Landon School campus, 6101 Wilson Lane, Bethesda.
There are five categories: mixed media, drawing, painting, photography/digital works and sculpture. Works that are juried into the competition will be displayed at the Landow Gallery.
Landon will host an awards reception 2 to 3:30 p.m. March 17. Cash awards will go to first-, second- and third-place entries in each category.
