A man was shot in the head in Camp Springs and Prince George’s police are seeking the two suspects responsible for the attempted murder.

The shooting took place in the 6300 block of Old Branch Avenue around 7:15 p.m. Saturday, when two unknown suspects approached a man outside Papi’s Chicken — a Peruvian chicken restaurant near Joint Base Andrews — and one suspect fired a shot at the victim, county police said.

The man was shot in the head and taken to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition as of Monday afternoon, said Cpl. Clinton Copeland, a county police spokesman.

A motive is still being investigated, police said.

Detectives obtained photo surveillance of the suspects and are using the photos to seek the public’s assistance in identifying them, Copeland said.

Anyone with information about their identities is asked to call the county police department’s Regional Investigation Division at 301-868-8773 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS to remain anonymous.
