Schools in Montgomery, Prince George’s and Frederick counties are operating on a two-hour delay due to the weather.

According to Montgomery County Public Schools, bus service will be provided on a two-hour-delayed schedule. Morning prekindergarten, morning half-day Head Start, other morning half-day programs and field trips are canceled. Other activities and programs that begin at 10:30 a.m. or earlier are canceled. Administrative offices are open on time. Day care programs in school buildings will remain open as scheduled.

In Prince George’s County, there will be no work-study transportation. Those students should not report to school, according to Prince George’s County Public Schools. There will also be no half-day pre-K, ECC and no field trips.

Any other school program requiring transportation prior to noon will not have transportation, including Howard B. Owens Science Center.

Food Services will offer breakfast.

For Frederick County Public Schools AM pre-K and Career and Technology Center (CTC) start 2 hours late and dismiss 1 hour later than usual. PM pre-K starts 1 hour later than usual and dismisses at the regular time. PM CTC starts 40 minutes later than usual and dismisses at the regular time.

Urbana Elementary is closed due to lack of heat. Principal will notify staff where to report.
