Prince George’s County police have identified the victim of a shooting Monday afternoon as Keith Massaton Watson, 48, of Upper Marlboro and are searching for his vehicle.

Just before 1 p.m. Monday, officers received a call for a shooting in Landover, in the 8500 block of Rainswood Drive, an industrial area near the Capital Beltway, said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.

Upon arrival, officers found Watson, of the 9100 block of Grandhaven Avenue, inside a building suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

Police said the alleged homicide suspect drove away in Watson’s 2004 black Audi A6 with Maryland tags 01524CE.

A phone number for Watson’s residence could not be located. Johnson said detectives are seeking suspects and a motive.

Police are asking anyone with information on the incident or the vehicle’s whereabouts to contact the department’s homicide unit at 301-772-4925 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS to remain anonymous.
