The Columbia Downtown Housing Corp. named Paul K. Casey president and Michael W. Skojec a director. Both are partners with Ballard Spahr in Baltimore.


Blackstreet Capital of Bethesda named William Anderson vice president of portfolio finance. Previously, Anderson worked for Ann’s House of Nuts and ASG Security.

The Village at Rockville — A National Lutheran Community in Rockville named Jana Broughton of Fairfax, Va., executive director. Previously, Broughton was executive director of Fellowship Square Foundation and also worked for MediLodge Group.

Chevy Chase Land Co. of Chevy Chase named Miti Figueredo vice president for public affairs. Previously, Figueredo was Montgomery County’s east county regional services director, a senior legislative aide to Montgomery County Councilman Roger Berliner and chief of staff to council President Nancy Navarro.

Jason Fisher, a community associations lawyer at Lerch, Early & Brewer in Bethesda, was admitted to the College of Community Association Lawyers.

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in Rockville named Clark Kendall a director. Kendall is CEO, president and founder of Capital Management of Rockville.

Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell of Bethesda promoted Michael P. Uong to audit supervisor.

Scheer Partners of Rockville named Kevin Rosenberg a commercial leasing associate. Previously, Rosenberg was a financial adviser for the Meltzer Group and the Insurance Exchange and an account executive with HSBC.

Radisphere of Cleveland named Asante M. Dickson a radiologist at Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park.

The Gazette of Gaithersburg named Neil Burkinshaw of Germantown advertising director for Montgomery County, succeeding Trina Lapier. Previously, Burkinshaw was advertising director and publisher with Greater Washington Publishing, an affiliate of Washington Post Co., parent of The Gazette’s parent. He also was a manager with Gannett.

Prince George’s

ASRC Federal of Greenbelt promoted Charles Hicks to senior vice president, finance and business operations. Before joining ASRC this past year as vice president, finance and business operations, Hicks was senior vice president and chief financial officer for USIS and a vice president of finance for Science Applications International.


The Kane Co. of Elkridge promoted Ron Meliker to president from executive vice president and COO; Ron Granville to president of Kane 3PL from vice president and general manager of Kane 3PL Third-Party Logistics; James H. Durfee to president from senior vice president and general manager of Office Archives, Office Shredding and eCyclers; and Gary Corbett to president of Office Movers from vice president and general manager of its Springfield, Va., office. It also named Tim Raver general manager of Kane Home Moving and Storage; previously, Raver was vice president and general manager of Sterling Moving & Storage.

Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital of Baltimore named Jennifer Bowie vice president of patient care service and chief nurse executive. Previously, Bowie was executive director of nursing at Trinity Regional Healthcare in Rock Island, Ill. Also, the hospital’s foundation named Steve Rutkovitz a director; Rutkovitz is president of Choice Technologies of Hunt Valley.

GSE Systems of Sykesville promoted Steven Freel to COO from chief technology officer. GSE also named Graham Wren managing director of operations in Europe, Jean-Marc Holt senior vice president of global business development and Thomas Carlsson managing director of GSE Power Systems in Sweden, succeeding Holt.

Vehicles for Change of Halethorpe named Lauren Lawson-Zilai a director. Lawson-Zilai is director of public relations and national spokeswoman for Goodwill Industries International.

Tydings & Rosenberg of Baltimore named Taren N. Stanton an associate in its litigation department. Previously, Stanton was an associate with Thompson Hine. The firm also promoted Gregory M. Garrett to partner.

Planned Parenthood of Maryland of Baltimore named Eric Shapiro vice president of finance. Previously, Shapiro was CFO at Total Health Care and finance director for St. Agnes Healthcare. Planned Parenthood also named David E. Hale vice president of external relations.

GKV of Baltimore promoted Thor Lucas of Pikesville to account executive from assistant account executive. Previously, Lucas worked for Pivnet.

Groove Commerce of Baltimore named Tom Nelson account manager, Eric Scouten executive assistant, Melissa Tulley online marketing strategist and Michael Welscher front-end developer. Previously, Welscher was ecommerce manager at Eagle Publishing.

Sunrise Estate Sales of Baltimore in Sparks named Jerry Wetzel a partner.

Signal Hill of Baltimore promoted Alexander Hart to partner; Robert Berstein, David Dolan, Matt Fiore and Justin Puccio to director from vice president; and Clint Karcher and Michael Kremen to vice president from associate.
