Frederick County firefighters are investigating a possible gas leak at the county’s Business and Employment Center, according to Mike Dmuchowski, a spokesman with Frederick County Fire and Rescue Services.

The Frederick County Business and Employment Center closed at 2 p.m. Friday, due to reports of a gas leak at the 5340 Spectrum Drive facility, located behind the Frances Scott Key Mall in Frederick.

County officials posted notices on the door alerting people who might be visiting the center that it was forced to close early.

The center is also closed on Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, but is scheduled to reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
