Amanda Nell Franklin and David John Munson Jr. were married Sept. 22, 2012, in the chapel at Palmetto Bluff, S.C. The Rev. Deborah Parsons officiated at the double ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Ben Franklin of Leesburg and the late Minh Thu Nguyen Franklin. The groom is the son of David J. Munson Sr. and the late Barbara Gatto Munson.

Presented in marriage by her father, Amanda was attended by her sister Lena Franklin as matron of honor. David Munson Sr. served as his son’s best man.

The reception was held at the Inn at Palmetto Bluff, with cocktails served under the live oaks overlooking the May River.

Both bride and groom are graduates of the College of Charleston, having majored in international business.

Following a honeymoon at several sites in Colombia, South America, the couple resides in Bethesda, where David is a State Farm insurance agent, and Amanda works as a personal trainer and model.
