Mike Schwartz, sitting in the back of his business, Mike's Bikes in Lexington Park, heads up the annual effort to make sure that everyone in the county has the ingredients for a Christmas dinner — a 10-pound turkey, 10 pounds of potatoes and a variety of canned goods. An army of volunteers, like the Snyder family and Mitchell Balinger, left, who stands amid some of the sacks of potatoes waiting to be sorted and delivered, put together 1,853 baskets this year.
