Poolesville Green has two events this month, one on community gardens and a second on electric cars.

On January 13, at Poolesville Presbyterian Church, there will be a meeting for anyone interested in helping to start a community garden.

“We have the space, a designer, and the beginnings of donated supplies and services in order to establish the garden ... and we need you,” said Joyce Breiner, head of Poolesville Green. The meeting starts at 2 p.m. at the church, on 17800 Elgin Road.

And on Sunday, Jan. 27th, Poolesville Green is hosting another one of their “What’s it All About?” events, this time, about what it’s like owning an electric car.

The event, which takes place at Poolesville Town Hall, 19721 Beall Street, in town, will last from 2 to 4 p.m., and will include local Chevy Volt and Nissan Leaf owners for all your electric car question. RSVP at Poolesvillegreen@gmail.com.
