Local teen author Ellen Oh of Bethesda will discuss her new book, Prophecy, at the Bethesda Library on Sunday, Jan. 6, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The first in a trilogy, Prophecy is set in ancient Korea. It tells the story of Kira, the lone female in the king’s army. Though a demon slayer and the prince’s body guard, she is an outcast, hated by nearly everyone in her home city. She may also be their only hope.
Oh will celebrate her book and her Korean-American heritage with an afternoon of Korean legends and Korean food. Copies of Prophecy will be available for purchase at the event through an arrangement with Politics and Prose Bookstore. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to the Friends of the Library, Bethesda.
The Bethesda Library is located at 7400 Arlington Road.
