I am getting more than frustrated with what seems to be taking place in our country in reference to gun or other weapon ownership. I am not alone, by a long shot, as there are millions of American citizens who think and believe as I do.
There is not a gun law in the United States that will stop a criminal or a person with a distorted mind from killing other people — except one, and I’ll get to that momentarily.
If you have no way of defending yourself, you are at the absolute mercy of the person threatening you. Police or other law enforcement officials cannot help you, even if they’re just two minutes away. Calling 911 is useless when you’re staring at a gun in the hands of an intruder, thief or murderer.
So, what is an innocent person to do? There is one and only one correct answer, and it’s in the Bill of Rights in our Constitution.
The Second Amendment is the only law that is able and capable of preventing 95 percent or more of these crimes and mass murders. Those who think or believe they can just pass a law that will do away with the Second Amendment have another thought coming. No one, including the president of our country, can create a law that would confiscate guns or other weapons from our citizens, or prevent people from concealing and carrying. That includes any person assigned to carry out such a law that tries to take your guns. You immediately have the right of protecting yourself and property and could possibly shoot this person as a forceful intruder upon your rights and property. Doing away with the Second Amendment is not as simple as a lot of people seem to believe.
Every word you have just read is nothing more than common sense, and our forefathers knew this when they added the Second Amendment to our Constitution. It is best that our present administration absorb the warning, “Don’t tread on me.”
God Bless America and her citizens.
