Prince George’s police found a man fatally shot in Capitol Heights.
Police said they responded to the report of a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of Pepper Mill Drive and Drylog Street at about 6:38 a.m. Thursday, when they found the man, Nichols Andrew Battle, 21, of the 100 block of West Mill Road in Capitol Heights.
Battle was pronounced dead on the scene, about a half mile from his house, police said.
The site of the incident is in the middle of a residential neighborhood in Capitol Heights near the Peppermill Community Center.
“We’re still looking for suspects and trying to establish a motive,” said Cpl. Larry Johnson, a county police spokesman.
A phone number for Battle’s family could not be located.
