The Upper Marlboro Historic Committee held its first archiving session to bring together town history and tales from days past.
The event, which was open to the public, was held Dec. 11 at town hall.
Documents, photographs and other historic items were digitally scanned to give the town electronic copies of various items that represent the area’s history.
Committee organizers said they plan to hold the archiving sessions monthly.
The next regular historic committee meeting is scheduled for 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 16 at Town Hall, located at 14211 School Lane in Upper Marlboro.
