The Linganore High School Student Government Association will host the first Quentin Ingram Egg Nog Jog in honor of a Mount Airy boy that died of leukemia in 2004.

Quentin was 9 years old when he died. Since his death, his family formed an annual toy drive held during the holiday for the Johns Hopkins Hospital pediatrics unit.

The 2-mile, holiday-themed race, which will be held at 9 a.m. Dec. 22, was created in conjunction with the toy drive.

The jog will be held at the high school — at 12013 Old Annapolis Road in Frederick — and is open to students and adults. Registration is $10 or a new toy or game.

All proceeds will be used to supplement donations to the pediatric center at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and make a donation to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
