Middletown has announced the winners of its annual Christmas in the Valley decorating contest.

The winners in the commercial category were Main Cup, first prize; Rosymedre Design, second prize; and Sportsland, third prize.

Winners in the traditional elegance category were the Rhoderick family of 204 E. Main St., first place; the Latterner family at 104 Ali Drive, second place; and the King family of 22 Young Branch Drive, third place.

Kids favorite winners were the Myers family of 2 Woodmere Circle, first place; the Kloster family of 716 Glenbrook Drive, second place; and the Funk family of 209 Rod Circle, third place.

Several hundred people attended the Christmas in the Valley celebration on Dec. 7 on Main Street in Middletown, which featured the arrival of Santa Claus, carol singing and the lighting of the town’s Christmas tree.
