Officials at Mount Rainier’s Little Friends for Peace, a non-profit group that teaches nonviolence to children and adults, is working to help four families in need this holiday season.

As part of its Christmas Peace Angel project, the group will collect new or used toys, clothing, games or anything that may be appropriate for children, said Mary Park, co-director of the group. For adults, the group is hoping to collect gift cards, food or other holiday gifts.

You can drop off donated items at 4405 29th St., Mount Rainier, Md., 20712, or the group will come pick them up, Park said.

“We need to help make others feel peace,” Park said. “What better way than at Christmas?”
