Football

The Saint Peter’s Panthers (Olney) 11-13 Centennial football team won the Maryland State Youth Football Division III Championship with a 33-8 victory over Clarksburg at University of Maryland’s Byrd Stadium on Dec. 15. It was the team’s fifth consecutive state championship (66-3 record during the span).

The Silver Spring Saints 6-8 American Division football team that competes in the Mid-Maryland Youth Football League went 15-0 this season and defeated the Dunkirk Warriors 26-12 to win the state championship.
