Children ages 5 and up gathered at Darnall’s Chance House Museum in Upper Marlboro for a holiday-themed tea party Saturday.

The Hansel and Gretel Tea Party event at 2 p.m. was a chance for children to visit Darnall’s Chance House, decorated like a gingerbread house, and listen to the story of “Hansel and Gretel” while enjoying tea and dessert.

Darnall’s Chance House is a historic Upper Marlboro home from the mid-1700s on the National Registry of Historic Places that has since been turned into a museum to showcase 18th century living in Prince George’s County.
