The Rocky Hill Middle School community will sponsor a blood drive and toy collection from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec.15 at the school, 22401 Brick Haven Way, Clarksburg.

The drive is in honor of Sam Moore who was a student at Clarksburg Elementary School while in second and third grades, went on to Little Bennett Elementary School when it opened, then Rocky Hill and on to Clarksburg High School. Sam passed away this past summer from a brain tumor that was discovered while he was at Rocky Hill.

The “Gift of Sam” blood and toy drive will benefit Children’s Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center.
