Anne Arundel County police are searching for three teens who allegedly robbed a man after beating him to the ground in Laurel.

Around 9:40 p.m. Friday in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road, police said they were called to the area for the report of a strong-arm robbery.

Officers found a 51-year-old man who told police he was walking when he was approached by three teenagers, police said.

He told police that one suspect asked for money and then punched him in the face, according to police, who added the victim fell to the ground the three began punching and kicking him.

Police said while being beaten, the manís wallet fell from his clothing and the suspects took it and ran away.

The victim suffered minor injuries from the robbery, but refused medical treatment, police said.

According to Anne Arundel police, officers searched the area after the report, but were unable to locate the suspects.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 866-7LOCKUP and can remain anonymous.
