Tawana E. Eason and Barry K. LaMar announce the uniting of their lives into one when they exchanged marriage vows Nov. 13 at Reid Temple AME Church in Silver Spring.
The bride received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College in Adelphi and a Bachelor of Science in Finance & Economics from St. John's University in Queens, N.Y. She is currently the event coordinator at Reid Temple AME Church Inc. in Glenn Dale and a freelance event and logistics planning consultant. She is an active member of the Washington, D.C., Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, where she recently received the 2012 Distinguished Service Award.
The groom received an Associate of Applied Science in Technology — Computer Network Systems from ITT Technical Institute in Owings Mills and studied Business Management at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. He is the Lead AV Technician for The Karcher Group in Chantilly, Va., which specializes in providing government and private organizations audiovisual architecture, and a freelance audio visual designer.
Barry and Tawana are active members at Reid Temple AME Church, where Barrysings in the men's choir and Tawana serves on the Wedding Ministry and Logistics Team. They reside in Laurel.
