Carroll Thomas Riley Jr., 83, Richmond, Texas
Carroll Thomas Riley Jr., 83, of Richmond, Texas, died Nov. 5, 2012, in Sugar Land, Texas.
Born June 26, 1929, in Cherry Hill, Va., he was the son of the late Carroll Thomas Riley Sr. and the late Clara Carroll Riley.
Mr. Riley was a graduate of Lackey High School, Indian Head. He served for more than 20 years in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after working for 20 years with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
He was avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and was a proud father and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Riley; son, Patrick Riley, brothers, Leo Riley, Roy Riley and Jesse Riley; and sisters, Connie Stroup and Helen Posey.
He is survived by his children, Rose Riley Supak, Clara Ann Telesco and her husband William, Judy Riley and Carol Riley Bolen and her husband David; grandchildren, Tiffany Supak Bednorz, Michael Telesco, Nancy Telesco, Jennifer Telesco Loftus, Lauren Bolen and Kristen Bolen; and other relatives.
A service was held Nov. 10 at the Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, Rosenberg, Texas. The Rev. Byron Williamson officiated. Burial took place at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Rosenberg.
