The following is a summary of incidents in the Bethesda area to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county.

Commercial Burglary

Ÿ Two incidents between Nov. 9 and 12 at 6430 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda. In one suite, entry was forced and property was taken. In another suite, entry was forced but nothing was taken.


Ÿ On Nov. 12 on recycling bins in the parking lot of Rock Creek Elementary School, 8330 Grubb Road, Chevy Chase.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 5400 block of Burling Road, Bethesda, between 1 and 5:30 a.m. Nov. 7. Unforced entry, took property.

Ÿ 8600 block of Lancaster Drive, Bethesda, Between Nov. 8 and 11. Unforced entry, took property.

Ÿ 4900 block of Greenway Drive, Bethesda, between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 8. Forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 3500 block of Ross Road, Chevy Chase, overnight between Nov. 9 and 10. Forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 4600 block of River Road, Bethesda, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Nov. 11. Forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 3700 block of Bradley Lane, Chevy Chase, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Nov. 13. Unforced entry, took property.


Ÿ On Nov. 9 at 2 a.m. at Wisconsin Avenue and Chevy Chase Boulevard, Chevy Chase. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.

Ÿ On Nov. 12 at 12:45 a.m. at Rosemary Hills Drive and East-West Highway, Silver Spring. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Strong-Arm Robbery

Ÿ On Nov. 10 at 3 p.m. in the 3400 block of Plyers Mill Road, Kensington. The suspects forcefully removed property from the victim.


Ÿ On Nov. 11 at 3:15 p.m. in the 6800 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase. The suspects obtained property from the victim unknowingly.

Ÿ On Nov. 11 at 5 p.m. at Giant Foods, 10400 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda. The suspect removed property from the victim unknowingly.
