The following is a summary of incidents in the Gaithersburg area to which Montgomery County police and/or Gaithersburg City police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county and/or the City of Gaithersburg police media services office.
Armed Robbery
Ÿ On Nov. 9 between 9:50 and 10 p.m. in the 9600 block of Brassie Place, Montgomery Village. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
Ÿ On Nov. 9 between 9:50 and 10 p.m. in the 9700 block of Brassie Place, Montgomery Village. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
Ÿ On Nov. 11 at midnight in the 17100 block of Queen Victoria Court, Gaithersburg. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property
Commercial Burglary
Ÿ On Nov. 11 at 5:45 p.m. at the Village Deli, 811 Russell Ave., Gaithersburg. A man was observed smashing out the front door glass, entering the unoccupied business and then removing property. The suspect was later located, placed under arrest and charged accordingly.
Residential Burglary
Ÿ 100 block of Duvall Lane, Gaithersburg, between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. Nov. 8. Unknown suspect(s) attempted to gain access into an unoccupied unit through the front door.
Ÿ 15700 block of Winners Drive, Gaithersburg, between 11 p.m. Nov. 10 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 11. No forced entry, took property.
Robbery
Ÿ On Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. at Morris Park, 421 Summit Hall Road, Gaithersburg. The victim was walking in the area of Morris Park with his dog when he was approached by two unknown black males. One of the unknown males placed his hand in his pocket insinuating that he may have a weapon and demanded property. The victim refused and walked away. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
Ÿ On Nov. 13 at 2:45 a.m. outside of the Village Café, 19230 Montgomery Village Ave., Montgomery Village. The suspect obtained property from the victim.
Strong-Arm Robbery
Ÿ On Nov. 9 at 2:30 p.m. at Centerway and Goshen roads, Montgomery Village. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.
Ÿ On Nov. 9 at 11:15 p.m. in the 500 block of South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg. A pizza delivery driver was approached by two unknown men who began conversing with the driver. During the conversation, one of the unknown men grabbed the victim while the other assaulted him. The victim was able to get away from the two suspects and call the police. No property was taken from the victim.
Vehicle Larceny
Ÿ Four incidents in Montgomery Village between Nov. 10 and 11. Took a wallet and two women’s clothing items. One forced entry. Affected streets include Leatherfern Terrace, Feathertree Terrace and Walkers Choice Road.
