The following is a summary of incidents in the Olney area to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county.This information was provided by the county police media services office.

Armed Robbery

Ÿ On Nov. 12 at 8:06 p.m. in the 2000 block of Arcola Avenue, Wheaton. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and unsuccessfully attempted to remove property.

Burglary

Ÿ On Nov. 6 between 9:58 and 11 a.m. at the Barrie School, 13500 Layhill Road, Wheaton.

Ÿ On Nov. 6 between 2:29 and 4:05 p.m. at Drew Elementary, 1200 Swingingdale Drive, Silver Spring. Unforced entry, took property.

Ÿ At 11:55 p.m. Nov. 7 and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at Friends Meeting House, 17715 Meeting House Road, Ashton-Sandy Spring. Forced entry, took nothing.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 1700 block of Olney Sandy Spring Road, Olney, between 9 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. Nov. 7. Attempted forced entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 12800 block of Dean Road, Wheaton, between 9:15 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Nov. 8. Unforced entry, took property.

Ÿ 4800 block of Norbeck Road, Rockville, between 2 and 7:23 a.m. Nov. 9. Unforced entry, took property.

Ÿ 3500 block of South Leisure World Boulevard, Silver Spring, Nov. 10 and 13. No sign of forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 14800 block of Firestone Drive, Silver Spring, between 9:40 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Nov. 12. Forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 800 block of Kenbrook Drive, Silver Spring, at 10 p.m. Nov. 13. Unknown means of entry, interrupted by resident and took nothing.

Strong-Arm Robbery

Ÿ On Nov. 8 at 7:20 p.m. near the 7-Eleven, 12405 Georgia Ave., Wheaton. The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim and was arrested.
