Help reunite wounded warriors with their families this holiday season by sending a greeting to the men and women who served our country.
Every month, Do the KIND Thing, a national initiative, challenges a different city to do one act of kindness. If enough people sign up to do this act on www.kindmovement.com, then KIND will partner with a local nonprofit organization to give back in big ways to the local community.
KIND is challenging residents of the Washington, D.C., metro to send a holiday greeting to wounded warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. If more than 10,000 locals answer the call, KIND will pay the kindness forward by partnering with local charitable organization, Luke's Wings, to send more than 20 wounded warriors home to spend the holidays with their loved ones.
To help support this partnership, The KIND Food Truck will be parked at 4827 Bethesda Ave. on Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. handing out healthy snacks and holiday notecards for visitors to fill out with encouraging words for wounded warriors at Walter Reed. Sign up online at www.kindmovement.com.
