Donald James Busch, 53, Waldorf

Donald James Busch, 53, of Waldorf died Nov. 18, 2012, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.

Born Dec. 10, 1958, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late William Busch and Barbara Verrill Busch.

Mr. Busch was an emergency dispatcher for 21 years with the Prince George’s County Communications Division. He was a very strong member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Waldorf, with studies in faith and the Bible, and also was very involved in the church choir and church activities. He played the piano and was a vocalist. He had a strong interest in genealogy and enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ann Lydia Busch; son, Kevin T. Busch and his companion, Rachel Novak of Baltimore; daughters, Julie E. and her husband, John Giese of Baltimore and Alina L. Busch of Waldorf; brother, Daniel and his wife, Kimberly Busch of Waldorf; sister, Debbie and her husband, David Shupe of Chesapeake Beach; granddaughter, Audrey Giese; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering will be held from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Nov. 23 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, Waldorf. The Rev. Laurie Gates-Ward will officiate. Burial is private.
