A Christmas concert to benefit music and arts education will be held at Bowie State University.

The Foundation for the Advancement of Music Education, Inc. will host a concert at the school's Fine and Performing Arts Center on Dec. 15.

The event, which was written and directed by Dr. Emory Andrews, will feature song, dance as well as music. Some of the music will be performed by County Council members Derrick Davis (D-Dist. 6) of Mitchellville and Will Campos (D-Dist. 2) of Hyattsville. The two saxophonists are also co-chairs of the event, according to a statement released by FAME.

Tickets for the fundraising event range from $12 to $15 with discounts available for larger groups.
