Thirty-three members of Prince George’s County’s fire/EMS department’s career recruit school have graduated from the training academy.

A ceremony was held for their achievements Oct. 18 at Charles H. Flowers High School in Springdale where graduates took their Oath of Office and received certificates of completion.

U.S. Rep. Steny Hoyer (D-Dist. 5) of Mechanicsville delivered the keynote address.

Prior to actual graduation, Fire Chief Marc Bashoor led a pinning ceremony where he placed commemorative pins on each of the graduates’ jackets.

Each graduate has been assigned to a fire/EMS station throughout the county.

The graduates are: Jamar Cornell Blue, Cameron Ryan Brown, Derek Deonte Brown, David Aaron Cargin, Joseph Andrew Coffman, James Wade Davis, Luke Aaron Edwards, Judson Arthur Fox, Jr., Mary Foster Gaetano, Travis Blake Graybeal, Paul Andrew Hamby, Jr., Bryan John Hogan, Rapheal Francis Holt, Patrick Pernell Jenkins, Calvin Lee Johnson, James Anthony Johnson, Kristerpher Curtis Jones, Justin Steven Kevan, Daniel Joseph Lundholm, Patrick Deon Martin, Shawn Christopher Miller, Aaron Edward Newby II, Joseph Dean Ottey, John Anthony Princiotta, Jr., Connor James Purcell, Hal Crowson Rich IV, Colin Patrick Rynne, Richard Silvesti Jr., Jeffrey Simmons, Carlton Wade Stewart, Jr., John Robert Wakeley, Marc William Yosua and Stephanie Lyn Zagula.
