Myersville is seeking community members to serve on various committees to help oversee town services.
Most of the committees were started last year, and have four appointed members plus one liaison of either the mayor or council, said Town Planner Brad Dyjak.
The Public Works committee reviews public works projects, some capital projects and town-owned infrastructure such as streets, sidewalks and buildings.
The Budget and Capital Improvements Projects committee advises the town manager, mayor and council by reviewing the proposed general fund and capital improvement projects budgets during each fiscal year.
The Water and Sewer committee examines the condition of town infrastructure and makes recommendations to the mayor and council on water quality, service delivery, capital projects and customer rates.
The Public Relations committee helps the mayor, council and town staff deliver information to residents and publicizes town events and matters of public interest.
The Parks and Recreation committee plans and sponsors events, recommends recreation improvements and advises the mayor and council on parks and recreation policy.
Most committee members need to be town residents, but the town will also consider local business owners or people who can provide special skill sets, Dyjak said.
