A team of cybersecurity students and staff at Adelphi-based University of Maryland University College took second place while representing North America at the Global CyberLympics in Miami on Oct. 29.
The team, named Cyber Padawans, previously took first place in the North American CyberLympics finals Sept. 4.
A team from the Netherlands took first place in the global competition, but the Cyber Padawans beat six teams in the final round of the competition.
Representing the team in the competition were UMUC students John Arneson, Armando Quintananieves and Matt Matchen along with UMUC alumnus Chris Kuehl and UMUC faculty members Jeff Tjiputra and Robert Murphy.
