The Alzheimerís Foundation of America has selected Riderwood Retirement Community in Silver Spring to be a host site for its Nov. 13 National Memory Screening Day.

Riderwood, the nationís largest continuing care retirement community, will play a role in the initiative to promote early detection and intervention for those concerned about memory loss and education others about successful aging.

Free memory screenings for the public will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 2 to 4 p.m.at 3160 Gracefield Road. Results will be given to each participant and a letter to give to their physician to discuss the results.
