The following is a summary of incidents in the Silver Spring/Takoma Park area to which Montgomery County and/or Takoma Park police responded recently. The words “arrested” and “charged” do not imply guilt. This information was provided by the county and Takoma Park police media services office.

Aggravated Assault

Ÿ On Oct. 15 at 10:57 a.m. at Northwood High School, 919 University Blvd. West, Silver Spring. The suspect is known to the victim.

Ÿ On Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the 12700 block of Old Columbia Pike, Silver Spring.

Commercial Burglary

Ÿ On Oct. 10 between midnight and 8 a.m. at the BP gas station, 9475 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring. Forced entry, took nothing.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 700 block of Beacon Road, Silver Spring, at 12:25 p.m. Oct. 8. Unknown means of entry, unknown whether anything was taken.

Ÿ 3500 block of Hepburn Court, Burtonsville, at 5 p.m. Oct. 9. Attempted forced entry.

Ÿ 7900 block of Eastern Avenue, Silver Spring, at 12:26 p.m. Oct. 10. Unforced entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 12400 block of Loft Lane, Silver Spring, at 11:58 p.m. Oct. 10. Forced entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 700 block of Burnt Mills Road, Silver Spring, at 7:20 p.m. Oct. 11. Unknown means of entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 4200 block of Cloudberry Court, Burtonsville, between 7:20 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 12. No forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 11500 block of Lockwood Drive, White Oak, at 12:50 a.m. Oct. 13. Unforced entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 13800 block of Castle Boulevard, Silver Spring, between 7 a.m. and 8:48 p.m. Oct. 14. Unknown means of entry, took property.

Ÿ 800 block of Winhall Way, Silver Spring, between midnight and 10 a.m. Oct. 15. Unknown means of entry, took property.

Ÿ 3900 block of Blackburn Lane, Burtonsville, at 8:54 a.m. Oct. 15. Unknown means of entry, unknown if anything was taken.

Ÿ 11400 block of Columbia Pike, Silver Spring, at 9:23 p.m. Oct. 15. Unknown means of entry; unknown if anything was taken.

Robbery

Ÿ On Oct. 13 at 9:25 a.m. in the 1500 block of Hadden Manor Court, Silver Spring. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.

Ÿ On Oct. 16 at 11:38 p.m. in the area of the Silver Spring Metro, Silver Spring. The suspect forcefully removed property from the victim.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ Six incidents between Oct. 8 and 10 in Colesville. All vehicles were unlocked. Included in those totals were five incidents that occurred between late evening Oct. 9 to early morning Oct. 10. Took GPS systems, electronic equipment, a cell phone and personal document. Streets affected included three incidents on Blick Drive, Chilton Drive, Hollywood Avenue and Maple Street.

4th District

Aggravated Assault

Ÿ On Oct. 11 at 10:55 p.m. at Georgia Avenue and University Boulevard, Wheaton. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon.

Armed Robbery

Ÿ On Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. in the 13000 block of St. Charles Place, Rockville. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Ÿ On Oct. 14 at 1:15 p.m. at Wheaton Mall’s parking garage lower level, 11160 Veirs Mill Road, Wheaton. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.

Peeping Tom

Ÿ On Oct. 9 at 8:30 p.m. in the 13900 block of Congress Drive, Rockville. The suspect was seen looking in a window.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 13100 block of Holdridge Road, Silver Spring, between Sept. 17 and Oct. 9. Unknown means of entry, took property

Ÿ 12000 block of Veirs Mill Road, Silver Spring, between 9 a.m. and 7:44 p.m. Oct. 8. Forced entry, took nothing.

Ÿ 12501 block of Goodhill Road, Wheaton, between 4:30 and 7 p.m. Oct. 9. No forced entry, took property.

Ÿ 17000 block of Moss Side Lane, Olney, between 10 p.m. Oct. 14 and 12:09 a.m. Oct. 15. The suspect is known to the victim.

Ÿ 2700 block of Village Lane, Aspen Hill, at 8:50 p.m. Oct. 15. No forced entry, took nothing.

Strong-Arm Robbery

Ÿ On Oct. 9 at 12:30 a.m. in the 3000 block of Hewitt Avenue, Aspen Hill. The victim was assaulted and property was taken.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ Several incidents occurred overnight between Oct. 14 and 15 in Silver Spring. The thefts occurred in the 2000 block of Evans Parkway (forced entry, took tools), 10500 block of Calumet Drive (unlocked, took cash) and the 10200 block of Tenbrook Drive (unlocked, took phone charger).

Takoma Park

Arrests

Ÿ 1100 block of University Boulevard at 11:24 p.m. Oct. 20. A man, 21, was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Ÿ 1000 block of University Boulevard at 2:01 p.m. Oct. 21. A man, 31, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Ÿ 8200 block of Houston Court at 3:33 p.m. Oct. 24. A woman, 27, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ÿ 600 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 3:54 p.m. Oct. 24. A woman, 51, was arrested for having an open failure to pay a fine warrant.

Ÿ 7600 block of Maple Avenue at 10:50 a.m. Oct. 25. A man, 20, was arrested for having open armed robbery, first degree assault and related open warrants.

Auto Theft

Ÿ On Oct. 19 at 4:06 a.m. in the 7400 block of New Hampshire. Unknown suspect(s) stole a blue 2002 Ford Explorer from a parking garage by unknown means.

Larceny

Ÿ 7600 block of Maple Avenue at 9:14 p.m. Oct. 22. A man, 35, was arrested for theft after stealing a victim’s laptop.

Ÿ 6500 block of Kansas Avenue at 8:12 p.m. Oct. 23. Unknown suspect(s) stole hubcaps from a vehicle.

Residential Burglary

Ÿ 8200 block of Houston Court at 12:43 p.m. Oct. 23. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked apartment and stole a laptop.

Vehicle Larceny

Ÿ 800 block of Hayward Avenue at 12:20 p.m. Oct. 20. Unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked vehicle, but did not steal any property.

Ÿ 7400 block of New Hampshire Avenue at 10:20 a.m. Oct. 24. Unknown suspect(s) entered a victim’s vehicle by unknown means. Unknown if property was taken.
