Two Landover siblings who attend Springdale’s Charles H. Flowers High School were recently recognized for their musical talents.

Flowers senior Dwight Washington, 17, received first place at an Oct. 8 “The F Factor” talent show held at the Springdale school. Washington received the honor for his saxophone performance.

Junior Jordan Washington, 15, was named for the second year in a row to the Prince George’s County All County High School Honor Band. Washington, a clarinetist, will perform with the honors band 7 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center at the University of Maryland, College Park. Jordan Washington is also the drum major for the Flowers marching band.
