State officials have confirmed that a small number of absentee ballots mailed to voters were missing a critical page.
Fifteen voters in Montgomery and Prince George’s counties reported to state officials that their ballots were missing the second page, said Ross Goldstein, deputy administrator of the State Board of Elections. Each voter has been sent a new, complete ballot, he said.
The second page includes statewide ballot questions on the Maryland Dream Act, congressional redistricting maps, same-sex marriage and expanded gambling, Goldstein said.
Officials were still trying to determine what caused the problem, Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) said in a statement.
Anyone who receives an incomplete ballot should call the State Board of Elections at 800-222-8683 to request a new one, Goldstein said.
