Ridgecrest Elementary School held its annual Hispanic Heritage Parade on Oct. 12, which honored the Hispanic cultures that make up the schools population.
The entire 670-student school participated in the event, which included students learning about different cultures and countries and parading around the hallway with music for about 20-minutes, said Principal Denise Dunn.
“It’s just an opportunity for them to showcase and be proud of their heritage,” she said. “They don’t often get a chance to tell people who they are and be proud.”
