Prince George’s police arrested two brothers who had allegedly been working together in a string of burglaries that impacted several homes in a Lanham neighborhood.

Louis Uchenna Atuonah, 24, and Mark Ositadinma Atuonah, 20, both of the 6500 block of 97th Avenue in Lanham, were arrested in their home Thursday. County police also recovered several firearms, ammunition, drugs and stolen property, according to county police.

Both brothers are facing multiple charges including firearm and drug trafficking, first-degree burglary, concealing a dangerous weapon, marijuana possession with the intent to distribute, theft and malicious destruction of property, according to online Prince George’s County District Court records.

County police say their arrests have closed several open burglaries and investigators are looking into whether they were behind additional cases.

Defense attorneys for either suspect were not listed with the courts Wednesday, according to online court records. Both have a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 1.

A residence phone number for the suspects could not be located.
