The Sugarloaf Crafts Festival returns Oct. 12-14, with 250 artists from around the country offering their one-of-a-kind handmade creations. Held at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 16 Chestnut St., Gaithersburg, the festival will showcase contemporary crafts and art that captures the atmosphere of fall and the upcoming holiday season. The jury-selected artists will personally show and sell their latest work in ceramics and pottery, jewelry, glass, leather, wood, metal, fashion, photography, fiber and fine art. Visitors to the Sugarloaf Crafts Festival in Gaithersburg will see how artists interpret these fall trends in their unique pieces. Additionally, visitors will enjoy family entertainment, ongoing artist demonstrations and seasonal foods to sample and purchase. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door, and free for children younger than 12. Admission is good for all three days of the festival. Free parking is available on site.
