Paul and Kathleen Laing were married Aug. 25, 1962, at Bethel United Methodist Church, Lower Burrell, Pa. They celebrated their 50 years together with their family taking them on a cruise to Bermuda in June. On August 25, family and friends gathered for a party given in their honor by their daughter and family.

Paul is retired from IBM and Kathleen teaches group piano at Damascus and Gibbs Elementary Schools.

The Laing’s have two children, Paulene of Germantown and George of Centreville, Va., along with three grandsons, Evan and Harris of Virginia and Christopher of Great Mills.
