Rockville has scheduled a public hearing on whether the city should give a loan to Rockville Housing Enterprises to help it buy the Fireside Park Apartments. RHE, the city’s housing authority, wants to purchase the complex and rent 40 percent of the units at moderate rates.

Rockville’s Charter Review Commission will hold town-hall-style meetings throughout the month of October. The commission has been asked to review the city’s code as it relates to elections.
At each meeting, the commission will hold a business meeting at 6:30 p.m. followed by the town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Meetings are set for Oct. 9 at Rockshire Community Center, 2351 Wootton Parkway; Oct. 17 at Lincoln Park Community Center, 357 Frederick Ave.; Oct. 24 at Rockville Memorial Library, 21 Maryland Ave.; and Oct. 30 at Twinbrook Community Center, 12920 Twinbrook Parkway.

The Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services will hold a community forum to gather input from the public on its FY 2014 operating budget.
