Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a robbery Sept. 28 that was caught on a surveillance camera in Riverdale, but Prince Georgeís County police still are seeking a third suspect.
The surveillance footage obtained by police shows an unidentified male leaving a restaurant in the 6000 block of Riverdale Road and walking a short distance before he was stopped by three males, who allegedly asked him for a cigarette, police said.
According to police, when the victim said he would give them a cigarette, he was struck in the face by one of the individuals, causing him to fall onto the hood of a parked vehicle and then the pavement. The victim managed to run away to seek help while his wallet and cell phone, which he had been holding but dropped, were picked up from the sidewalk by the suspects, police said.
Police said their investigation led to the arrest of the first juvenile suspect Monday; the second was arrested Tuesday. The identities of both suspects in custody are not being released since they are younger than 18 and being charged as juveniles.
