NBC 4 consumer reporter Liz Crenshaw puts her spin on a tough question.
Question: She wants to know the best way to store her DVD collection… should she be storing the discs upright or laying them flat?
Answer: The Council on Library and Information Resources gave us this answer. It recommends storing discs vertically in their cases (like books on a shelf). That’s because laying discs flat for a long period of time can cause them to bend or become warped… which means they may no longer work. Other tips, like keeping discs in a cool environment with low humidity, should help keep your DVDs last longer as well.
