A District Heights man was killed early Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was driving collided with a truck.

Egbemimon Edorh-Ananou, 31, of District Heights, was driving his 2002 Kawasaki motorcycle near Georgia Avenue and Ennals Avenue shortly after 7 a.m. when he collided with a 2013 Freightliner box truck driving north on Georgia Avenue in a parallel lane, according to a press release from the Montgomery County Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The truckís driver was unharmed.

Police are still investigating why Edorh-Ananouís motorcycle entered the lane of the truck, and are asking anyone who witnessed the collision to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 240-773-6620. Callers may remain anonymous.

Capt. Paul Starks, spokesman for the police, was not immediately available for comment.
