The Faithful and True Christian Center of Burtonsville is hosting a free Back 2 School “Community” Fest from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sept. 30. The event, which will be held at the Fairland Regional Park on 13950 Old Gunpowder Road in Laurel, will feature free food, arts and crafts and face painting. There will also be a moon bounce and giveaways including a $100 gift certificate to Target.

“We want to encourage kids to have a great attitude, to eat healthy and to be a light for other people,” said Kinta Jones, the center’s children and youth ministry director.
