Montgomery County police have identified the victim in a Great Seneca Highway crash that killed one person Sunday evening and injured three more.
Elizabeth Colvin Colton, 69, was a passenger in a black Lexus sedan that was traveling north on Great Seneca Highway. The driver, Seymour Baden, 77, was attempting to make a left turn onto Lakelands Drive when they were struck by an oncoming Toyota Highlander. Both Colton and Baden are from the 200 block of Hart Road in Gaithersburg, according to police.
The two were transported to a local hospital. Colton was declared dead at the hospital, while Baden is still in critical condition, police said.
The two people in the Toyota, the driver and passenger, were also taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, 21-year-old Rachel Leah Weintraub of the 13600 block of Anchor Cove Court, and the passenger, 25-year-old George Dancer of 14100 block of Marianne Drive, are both from Rockville, police said.
Investigators from the Collision Reconstruction Unit were on the scene until after midnight last night and southbound Great Seneca Highway was shut down during the investigation, The Gazette previously reported.
